Electrical Engineer/Project Manager

Future Technology has employed 7 new consultants over the last year and the need for resources is growing. Activity within Infrastructure and Renewables is high and the company needs to increase its capacity. We are therefore looking for electrical engineers with experience from project development and project execution within the renewables industry, O&G or electrical infrastructure industry (overhead lines, cables, substations and power system design).

We were founded in 2011, currently employ 20+ people and are based in the Oslo/Sandefjord area, Norway. We operate within the Renewables and Electrical Infrastructure, Oil&Gas and Onshore Infrastructure industries, where we provide assistance to developers and investors, operators and contractors. Your profile

  • Master of Science, Bachelor of Science or similar within electrical power engineering

  • Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience from project development and/or execution within the renewables industry, power from shore or electrical infrastructure projects in general (overhead lines, cables and substations)

  • Competence and experience within project management or package management of FEED studies and/or construction contracts is preferable

  • Competence and experience within HVDC-transmissions, high voltage installations (132 kV to 420 kV) and electrical system design

  • Experience with Power system analyses and tools is considered an advantage

  • Good knowledge of rules/regulations, standards and experience within development of technical requirements

  • Ability to work in a team

  • Language requirements: English

Experience with OHS/HSE from construction site (road/rail/building/civil)

Formal education on BSc./MSc. level is preferred. Relevant experience may replace formal education

Future Technology is a technology and consultancy company with offices in Sandefjord and Oslo. Today we have 31 employees distributed at our two offices.

Our employees have expertise in the fields of Technical Safety, RAM, RAMS, SHA, HSE, Subsea Engineering, Construction and Flow Assurance.

The company has a total of 14 employees in "Risk & Safety". Of these, four of our most experienced consultants work with Technical Safety in the Oil and Gas Market.

In connection with an increasing amount of work, we wish to strengthen our Oil and Gas department with an experienced Technical Safety Advisor.

The main task of the position will be to lead and implement Technical Safety tasks in major interdisciplinary projects, especially within the Oil and Gas sector. This includes all activities (processes and analyzes) according to current standards and procedures. The projects are mainly preformed in our customers facilities while smaller studies are conducted internally in our offices.
