Our Power Systems department helps utilities, energy companies, suppliers and industry overcome the challenges of a rapidly changing environment by providing independent consulting and engineering services. As technology neutral advisors, we tailor solutions that allow our clients to innovate and meet the green future.

The Nordic electrification is increasing due to new and higher demand for energy, together with the shift from fossil to renewable energy sources. This leads to a change in generation, transmission and consumption of electricity. New challenges arise for utilities and other industry, for example:

• The growth in electronic devices introduces problems and require studies related to power quality.


• The electrification of transport and a higher demand for instantaneous power has forced utilities to find new ways of improving the utilisation of the existing grid in order to minimise capital expenditure (CAPEX).


• The electric grid needs to be adaptive to meet the needs of new industries such as data centres, which shift the consumption to new locations.</li
